Inhale… Exhale… Just Breathe
It shouldn't be a surprise to hear that I am a huge fan of
this series and its author. My favorite
memories will always include meeting Kendall Grey at the Romantic Times
Convention 2012. Kendall pretty much looked at me like she wasn't sure I would
want to read her book because it might be a bit too raunchy for me and the
language a bit much too. She was so
sweet and innocent about the whole thing. I looked around wondering if I looked
like a prude or something. Not to mention we were both at an Adult Books event.
I knew what I was in for. Her shyness, the overall description of the book and
its cover sold me. I had to buy this
book and I had to read it right away.
I had huge expectations for the first book of the Just
Breathe Series, Inhale. I wanted to love it because of its uniqueness. I wanted
to love it because who the hell wants to hate a book they read! Not I! Well folks, I loved it! Inhale was new and fresh. Reading Inhale set
the bar pretty high for the rest of the series and if I’m going to be honest
for many other reads, too. The care
Kendall Grey took in building this world was evident and clear. You understood
the importance of understanding the complexity of
this new world and its characters. In
the end, I cared for all of the characters, the Dreaming, Realis, the whales…
EVERYTHING!
The rest of the series didn't disappoint. The series has had
it all. Writing has been smart and impressive, the creativity amazing, the
shocking turn of events, the emotions, the ups and downs, the highs and lows,
the triumphs with the losses, the connection…Just epic. To say that this was the most
real fantasy ever is an understatement. To feel as if you are actually apart of
the book sharing these moments with the characters and not watching from the
outside in, doesn't happen often. To feel that this world is yours and you care
what happens to it doesn't happen often. A great storyteller makes that
happen. A true artist makes that happen.
Kendall, you are a wonderful artist. You are also one honest, raw, down to Earth, witty,
raunchy, caring, smart, passionate gal! You are so damn nice, too. You take great care in the work you put out. It
shows in your writing, the artwork, your website/blog and in the fact that you
answer each tweet, comment and email from your fans or soon to be fans. I will always believe in your hard work,
passion, heart, brain and unbelievable talent because you are that great.
The Just Breathe Series has the greatest readers/fans! They
are so much fun and are always up for anything. It has been a pleasure to work
with some of them via this blog tour. Thank you, thank you, thank you for being
patient and simply for being a wonderful you!
