Catching Up. Includes a Confession or Two.

It’s been a while since I've last reviewed a book. I’m sorry I've been away for so long. It’s been a rough couple of months and frankly I've needed to take a break from blogging, among other things.  My grandmother was really ill. It was unexpected; it happened while she was out of the country and resulted in her having to have emergency surgery.  The positives have been that she is extremely healthy and strong. My grandma is 78 years old and looks like she’s in her 60’s.  She’s never had any crazy illnesses other than the occasional cold/flu and arthritis.  She’s always been active. With that said she’s back home recovering nicely and we are all pretty stoked about it.

So yeah, I haven’t had much time to blog because we've all had to do more to help out.
I do miss it though. I've been trying to start up again, no lie, for about four weeks now. I've just been so darned tired and blogging/reviewing is no joke.

I do want to give a shout out to my blogger/twitter friend Danielle Young aka @y311er aka Consuming WorldsMy latest obsession has a name and it’s Ruzzle. Danielle has been playing with me for a while now and I love her for it. It has been a wonderful distraction when I need some down time.  She’s wonderful.  It’s the little things, folks… The little things. Now go check her out and Ruzzle too.

Dang I have a few obsessions, one being... YouTube. Good lordy, almighty. I have been hooked on tutorials and yes, I've even been hooked on following a few vloggers. Yes, I’m watching how some live their lives and which books are being read by others, among other things.

My last obsession is Strider and Suicide, my turtles. I have to build them a better home and so I've been on a mission to make their lives better. Lots of time has been put into researching their wants and needs which includes a bigger tank, lighting, filters, heaters, basking areas, etc. etc.

OK. That’s enough confessing and digressing for one day.

But what about the Blog?

ON ANOTHER NOTE:  I HAVE been reading! Not as much as I’d like to because my brain is fried but I have. I've also been following bloggers all over the world. Which, holy crapola, I almost forgot to mention my very last obsession! It’s Flipboard!!! I highly recommend it. This is what I use to read other blogs. It shows up in my app as if I’m reading a newspaper. Makes reading blogs more interesting and a heck of a lot easier.  Go check it out. For Realz!

Umm, yeah. SO... I’m going to change a few things up on the blog. Kind of excited about it. I also noticed that my one year blogiversary is coming up. Thinking about doing some exciting stuff with that!

But what about the Reviews?

I’ll be reviewing quite a few books this week and I’m looking forward to it. I’m shooting for two a day. Let’s see how that works out.

I have christened April as Kindle month. This is where I have challenged myself to read at least 10 books from my ever growing list.  I’ll start off with 10 and be happy with it.  I also have a few NetGalley arcs to get through. Quite excited about it all!
