Free-spirited Aer Elemental Vexx finds herself in an ironic predicament when her boss pairs her up with Byrn, a brazen Fyre Elemental, to complete an undercover mission at a BDSM club. She’s been secretly crushing on him for months, so playing Domme to his arrogant, snarky sub is a dream come true. Not only that, she can finally turn the tables on him for the all the suggestive taunting he dishes on a regular basis. But one small problem prevents Vexx from fully embracing her role. If Byrn touches her, she’s dead.

while Byrn is a Fyre Elemental. They
have been assigned to stake out a BDSM club and have to work together to find
their perp. We soon realize that the
Fyre Elemental they’re trying to find isn’t the real danger. The real danger
lies between Vexx and Byrne’s connection.
I truly love Vexx and Byrne. This was exciting and
heartbreaking at the same time. This little read is laced with some wonderful
heat inducing images that will cause you to look for the nearest and coldest
body of water available. Best of all, this read reminds you that the
anticipation, the want, and the tease can be just as great as sex.
I recommend reading this one before reading Just Breathe, if
you haven’t already, so that you can better understand some of what happens in
JB.
